Introduction to GMB Ninja

What is GMB Ninja?

GMB Ninja goal is to be the #1 provider for Google Business Profile management in Australia. We aim to do this with transparent and reasonable pricing that makes sense for a local business owner who cares about managing their reputation and being found in their local area.

How GMB Ninja's Model Works

  • We don't have performance guarantees, why? Because we can only guarantee that we will do the work that we need to do to get you the best result possible. Results outside of what we do is reliant on Google, your competitors efforts, and the work that you do. We are, however, transparent in what we do and provide our clients with access to our own to do lists so that you can see what we are doing and by when.
  • We focus on white hat efforts that are aligned with Google's guidelines.
  • We want long-term relationships with our clients where we are a trusted advisor.
  • To keep our fees low, we operate a low-touch account management using email and quarterly phone catch ups.
  • To stay accountable we have no contracts; everything is month-to-month.
What to Expect Month One, Two, Three and Beyond

Ranking on Google's Map Pack and building a great online reputation takes time, diligence and consistency. The work that we do is structured in 4 core areas

  • Google Business Profile Optimisation
  • Weekly Posts
  • Reputation Management
  • Local Citations (Links)

Month 1

During month 1 we will conduct and review an audit of your profile while also reviewing your top competitors to help inform the strategy.

We then go through a 30-step optimisation of your Google Business Profile and queue up the first month of posts and setup reprorting within our client areas so that you can view live performance tracking.

Lastly, we send you 2 x  Google Review NFC cards so that you can start getting as many reviews as you can.

Month 2

In month 2 we start the good fight and report any competitors that are keyword spamming or operating against Google's guidelines.

We review the optimisation updates, perform monthly management tasks and continue to schedule engaging content.

Lastly, we start our Local Citation backlink process and build 100 links back to your site.

Month 3

In month 3 we re-run our Audit to assess what has improved and inform the strategy for the next 3 months.

We continue with profile management and posts and we build another 100 local citations.

Lastly, we schedule a quarterly call with our clients.

Month 4

Roll out any changes to the strategy and continue with our monthly optimisations and work

Google Business Profile - Service Overview

Profile Optimisation and Management

Optimising your Google Business Profile (formerly known as Google My Business) is crucial for local businesses to enhance their online presence and attract more customers. Here are some key steps involved in optimising a Google Business Profile:

  1. Claim and Verify Your Business:
    • Visit the Google Business Profile website and claim your business if you haven't already.
    • Google will often send a verification code via mail to your business address, and you need to enter this code to verify your business.
  2. Complete Your Business Information:
    • Ensure that all the essential information is accurate and up-to-date. This includes your business name, address, phone number (NAP), website, business hours, and categories.
  3. Add High-Quality Photos:
    • Upload high-resolution images of your business, including the exterior, interior, products/services, and staff. This helps potential customers get a better sense of what your business offers.
  4. Write a Compelling Business Description:
    • Craft a concise and engaging business description. Highlight key information about your products, services, and what makes your business unique. Use relevant keywords to improve search visibility.
  5. Select Accurate Categories:
    • Choose the most relevant categories for your business. This helps Google understand your business and display it in the right search results.
  6. Collect and Respond to Reviews:
    • Encourage satisfied customers to leave positive reviews. Respond to both positive and negative reviews professionally and promptly. Engaging with customer reviews can boost your online reputation.
  7. Add Services and Products:
    • If applicable, list the services or products you offer. This provides more information to potential customers and can improve your visibility in specific search results.
  8. Utilize Attributes:
    • Google Business Profiles allow you to add attributes that describe your business in more detail (e.g., "Wheelchair-accessible," "Wi-Fi available"). Ensure that you add relevant attributes that accurately represent your business.
  9. Optimise for Local SEO:
    • Use relevant keywords in your business description and throughout your profile. This can help your business show up in local search results.
  10. Regularly Update Information:
    • Keep your business information up-to-date. If your business undergoes changes, such as new hours of operation or a change in location, update your profile accordingly.
  11. Monitor Insights:
    • Use the Google Business Profile Insights tool to track how customers interact with your profile. Monitor views, clicks, and other engagement metrics to understand your online performance.
  12. Create and Share Posts:
    • Google Business Profiles allow you to create posts to share updates, promotions, events, and more. Regularly posting can help keep your profile active and engaging.

Local Citations

Local Citations

Local citations play a crucial role in the optimisation of a Google Business Profile and contribute to overall local search engine optimization (SEO). Here's why local citations are important:

  1. Consistency and Accuracy:
    • Local citations provide consistent and accurate information about your business, including the name, address, phone number (NAP), and other details. Consistency across online platforms helps build trust with both users and search engines.
  2. Local Search Ranking:
    • Search engines like Google use local citations to verify the legitimacy and relevance of a business. Consistent citations across various online directories and platforms can positively impact your local search rankings.
  3. NAP Citations Signal:
    • Search engines rely on the consistency of NAP information across different online sources as a signal for the legitimacy and reliability of a business. Inaccurate or inconsistent information can lead to confusion and potentially lower search rankings.
  4. Enhanced Online Visibility:
    • Having accurate local citations increases your business's online visibility. When your business information is consistent across multiple platforms, it becomes easier for search engines to recognize and display your business in local search results.
  5. Credibility and Trustworthiness:
    • Consistent and accurate citations contribute to the credibility and trustworthiness of your business. Users are more likely to trust businesses with consistent information, which can positively influence their decision-making process.
  6. Local Maps and Directories:
    • Local citations are often found on online maps, directories, and review sites. Having your business listed in these places not only improves visibility but also increases the chances of potential customers discovering your business through these platforms.
  7. Local SEO Signals:
    • Search engines use various signals to determine local search rankings. Local citations are one of these signals, along with other factors like online reviews, local content, and the overall relevance of your business to local search queries.
  8. Competitive Advantage:
    • Properly optimized local citations can give your business a competitive advantage. If your competitors have inconsistent or incomplete citations, your business may stand out as a more reliable and trustworthy option.
  9. Improved User Experience:
    • Accurate and consistent citations contribute to a better user experience. When users can easily find correct and up-to-date information about your business, they are more likely to engage with your Google Business Profile and visit your physical location.
  10. Local Link Building:
    • Citations often include links to your website. While these links may not carry as much weight as some other types of backlinks, they still contribute to your overall online presence and can positively influence your website's SEO.
